Marriott prestigious Renaissance brand in Algarve

The existing Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort in Vilamoura will be re-branded to Marriott International’s sophisticated and stylish ‘Renaissance’ hotel brand. The conversion and expansion is expected to take place during 2008.

“The Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort has an excellent reputation as a destination, especially in the golf segment, and we are totally confident that, under our Renaissance brand flag, its future will be bright.” said Arne Sorenson, Marriott’s chief financial officer & president of Continental European lodging.

Accommodations at the ‘Vila Sol Algarve, a Renaissance Spa & Golf Resort’ will include 189 stylishly appointed guest rooms and 86 serviced apartments, 44 of which are expected to open in 2008.

The resort will have a variety of restaurants, bars, an enormous Spa centre, sauna, indoor & outdoor swimming pools, beach club, sports facilities, kids club, shops, an entertainment center and the 27-hole golf course (ranked among the top five in the Algarve).
